Sustainability in KVAQ

Environment: The world is facing great global challenges, and we all need to contribute to create a sustainable future. Our environmental focus is embedded in policies, goals, procedures, and we regularly conduct risk assessments related to environmental factors and implement mitigating actions to reduce our impact on the environment. We are committed to continuously improve.

Social: The respect for fundamental human rights is embedded in our code of conduct and governing documents. We offer equal opportunities to our employees and provide our employees with safe working conditions and a developing and including workplace

Governance: KVAQ’s management system are certified according to ISO 9001 certified (Management System for Quality), ISO 14001 (Management System for Environment) and ISO 45001 (Management System for Work Environment).

We conduct our business in compliance with legal requirements and ensure fundamental human rights both within the company and externally when collaborating with vendors. All vendors must be approved prior to purchase. An approval requires, among other, compliance with human rights.

UN`s sustainability goals (SDGs) aim to create a better world by 2030.

The UN's sustainability goals should contribute to a more sustainable course for the planet. We have chosen some of the sustainability goals that we particularly focus our attention on, because here we can make an extra difference.

We will do what we can to increase our positive contribution to sustainable development. We are in the process of reporting on environment and climate, social and governance issues (ESG), showing us how everything from fuel consumption to energy, human rights and working conditions affects our development. In connection with the EU expanding the reporting obligation on sustainability with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), more companies will be required to report.

The UN has drawn up a common work plan for the whole world, to eradicate poverty, fight inequality and stop climate change. The work plan shows how our common challenges are connected, and consists of 17 sustainability goals that deal with climate, environment, economy and social conditions. Kverneland Aqua supports the UN's sustainability goals and we have measures and processes that are linked to the various goals. Our choices include the environment, working life and people, all of which are linked to the UN's sustainability goals.

By highlighting some goals, we commit ourselves and set a clear direction for the sustainability work.

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are three closely linked values held by many organizations that are working to be supportive of different groups of individuals, including people of different races, ethnicity, religions, abilities, genders, age, past career, and sexual orientations. For Kverneland Aqua, diversity in the workforce means to enhance its total strength by providing equal opportunities to people regardless of their personal attributes. Our policy is based on Respect for the Individual.

PARTNERSHIPS FOR THE GOALS

In order to achieve the UN`s sustainable development goals, we need to work together, which is why we have added point 17
